New Delhi, March 13: Defence minister A.K. Antony today said he has ordered an inquiry into a claim by a cyber-security agency that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) computers have been hacked and sensitive documents stolen.

The DRDO itself has denied the report. Its spokesperson Ravi Gupta said “as per available information, no incidence of breach of security of DRDO’s computers has come to notice. Appropriate measures are in place for safety and security of computer systems”.

Antony said intelligence agencies that have been asked to investigate are yet to give a report. The National Technical Research Organisation, an agency under the Prime Minister’s Office that is tasked with cyber-security, had reportedly said it has found evidence that DRDO’s computers were hacked.
