Indian Air Force (IAF) airlifts essential supplies of medicine and ration along with medical personnel within the country, to equip state governments and supporting agencies to combat the Covid-19 effectively, in NewDelhi (PTI)

The armed forces will express their gratitude to all “corona warriors” by conducting fly-pasts, showering petals on hospitals treating Covid-19 patients and illuminating naval vessels, chief of defence staff General Bipin Rawat said on Friday.

Rawat said the IAF would conduct fly-pasts from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram, from Dibrugarh to Kutch. Fixed wing and fighter aircraft of the IAF will participate. Navy helicopters will shower petals on hospitals treating Covid-19 patients. The army will conduct mountain band displays along some Covid-19 hospitals, while naval ships will hold special drills.
