Omprakash Agarwal, a resident of Kabir Chowk in Raigarh Municipal Corporation area, had applied for a ration card by calling on 14545. He submitted the required documents on June 5 and his ration card was ready on June 7.

Collector Taran Prakash Sinha personally visited the house of Omprakash Agarwal and Sulochana Devi Agarwal as a 'Mitan' and handed over their ration card to them. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sambit Mishra also accompanied the Collector during the visit.

Omprakash Agarwal said that never in his dreams had he imagined that the Collector would visit his house as a Mitan to deliver his ration card. It is noteworthy that this was the 5500th application redressed under the ‘Mitan’ scheme in the municipal corporation area.

He didn't have to go anywhere, did not have to go to any government office, all he did was make a call and got his ration card issued. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for providing such convenience to the people of the state through Mitan Yojana.
