Antara Mali: Seen as the chubby girlfriend of Aftab Shivdasani in Mast, Antara caught Ramu?s eye and was brought back in Company. That was her Road to fame. Though Gayab, Road or Main Madhuri Dixit... didn?t do quite as well at the BO, she became the next ?Ramu girl? and Naach, releasing today, gets counted as one of the Diwali patakas, in fact taking on the huge biggy, Veer-Zaara.

Sameera Reddy: Her debut film, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, didn?t do her any good. Then she was picked up Ramu and given a complete makeover as the dusky diva in Darna Mana Hai in the title song, and that had men sitting up and taking notice of this hot stuff. Her forthcoming release, Musafir, is getting all the attention it deserves, and she?s even made to the arthouse Bengali cinema of Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Kaalpurush.

Koena Mitra: She grabbed the limelight as an item girl in Road with the Nikal le bhaiye number and that paved her road to item stardom.

Kashmira Shah: Though she did films like Yes Boss and Pyar To Hona Hi Tha and some item numbers in Vaastav and Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, which became quite popular she was recognised as an actress in 2000 in Ramu?s Jungle. Kashmira received rave reviews and was nominated for the Best Female in a Negative Role at the Screen Videocon Awards.
