Amitabh Bachchan, who is known to be punctual at all events, apologised for being late for a promotional of his upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati at Filmcity in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Bachchan was late by almost an hour and a half. He was scheduled to arrive for the event at 11am but reached around 12.30pm.
“I am extremely sorry for coming late. I started from home by 10am but I got stuck in traffic for one-and-half-hour. I apologise for coming late,” Bachchan said.
The 69-year-old actor (in the AFP picture in Mumbai on Wednesday) even sent an apology message to the PR team for making the media wait.
The sixth season of popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati will go on air from September 7 on Sony Entertainment Channel, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Bachchan, who believes that knowledge is the key to success, said: “The kind of knowledge that I get from this show... I don’t get it from anywhere else.”
He cited the example of Sushil Kumar, who won Rs 5 crore last season, and said: “Sushil came from a very poor family, but still he had the desire to get educated. He got himself educated at home. It was due to this education... knowledge that he won Rs 5 crore and became the winner.” (PTI)
