Antilia bomb scare case: Rs 45 lakh paid for Mansukh Hiran killing

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is leading the investigation into the bomb scare outside Mukesh Ambani's south Mumbai residence, has collected two cellphones recovered allegedly from Mujahideen leader Tehseen Akhtar's barrack at Tihar jail in New Delhi.

The agency on Tuesday told a special court here that Rs 45 lakh was paid by an accused for the murder of Thane businessman Mansukh Hiran.

The central probe agency said this while seeking a 30-day extension to file a charge sheet in the Antilia bomb scare-Mansukh Hiran murder case.

Indian Express, meanwhile, mentioned sources as saying that the NIA is studying evidence against a senior Mumbai Police officer, following which permission will be sought to arrest him.
