Other than biggies like Dhanush’s Naane Varuvean and Vaibhav’s Buffoon, other much-awaited movies from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped their trailers and first-look teasers last week.

Hit: The Second Case (Telugu)

Telugu star Adivi Sesh has shared the first poster of Hit: The First Case on Twitter along with its release date. A sequel to Hit: The First Case, this movie has been written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who will resume his role in the sequel.

The film is reportedly set in Andhra Pradesh and also features Meenakshi Chaudhary in a lead role. The Bollywood remake of Hit: The First Case, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, was released a few months back.

Hit: The Second Case will arrive in the cinemas on December 2.

Vamanan (Malayalam)

Saregama Malayalam has come up with the trailer of Vamanan, starring Indrans in the lead role. The movie is written and directed by A.B. Binil.

At the very beginning of the trailer, we hear a voice enquiring why a post-mortem exam has been performed on a girl’s body and further exploring who would not want the body to be discovered. This sets the tone for the film’s ominous mood. It is based on the Puranic tale of how Vamanan beats Mahabali.

Champion (Kannada)

The official trailer of Kannada film Champion has been released. Helmed by Shahuraja Sindhe, it stars Sachin Dhanpal and Aditi Prabhudeva in lead roles.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into the life of a small-town boy who is trying to make it big despite the challenges thrown at him by life. The film also features Sunny Leone, Devraj, Suman, Pradeep Raut, Chikanna, Adi Lokesh, Ashok Sharma, Giri and Avinash.

Champion will hit the theatres on October 14.

Kick (Tamil and Kannada)

Fortune Films has shared the first-look poster of veteran actor Mansoor Ali Khan in director Santhanam’s upcoming film Kick.

In the trailer, we see Khan, who is known for playing bad guys in Tamil cinema, sporting a handlebar moustache. The bilingual movie will be released in both Tamil and Kannada languages.

Dongalunnaru Jaagratha (Telugu)

Suresh Productions has released the official trailer of its upcoming film Dongalunnaru Jaagratha, which is being billed as the first survival thriller in Telugu cinema.

The almost two-minute-long trailer follows a day in the life of a car thief who gets trapped in the car. Worse still, he also finds a bomb in the car. Will he be able to survive? It stars Simha Koduri, Samuthirakhani and Preeti Asrani in prominent roles. Dongalunnaru Jaagratha will be released in theatres on September 23.
