Dev and Rukmini Maitra have come together for the romcom Kishmish. Directed by Rahool Mukherjee, Kishmish sees Dev playing three characters in the film, the primary one being that of a comic book artist-writer. The film has three timelines.

On Wednesday, Dev Entertainment Ventures, in association with MK Media, held the mahurat of Kishmish. The cast of Kishmish features Dev, Rukmini, Kharaj Mukherjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Anjana Basu and June.

Veteran actor Lily Chakraborty also plays a pivotal role in the film. Madhura Palit is the DoP, while Nil Chatterjee is the music director.

“It’s a love story for the youth and a very relevant one,” Dev had told The Telegraph earlier.

“I play Rohini Sen. She holds her relationships, loved ones and principles very close to her heart. Rohini is the modern day college topper who is liberal in her views, but when it comes to love she likes to play it old school,” smiles Rukmini.

The shooting begins next month.
