Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan recently celebrated the success of their latest Prime Video spy thriller series Citadel: Honey Bunny with show creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Here’s a look at some moments from the star-studded party held in Mumbai.
While Samantha dazzled in a golden pearl-studded top paired with black trousers, Varun kept it casual in a black blazer worn over a pale blue sweatshirt and beige trousers. “A beautiful evening spent with the loveliest people, my heart overflowing with gratitude,” Samantha captioned the pictures on Instagram.
Raj and Samantha posed for a picture with Gulshan Devaiah and Saqib Saleem at the party. Expanding the Citadel universe created by the Russo brothers, Honey Bunny, set between 1992 and 2000, is a distinctly Indian take on espionage.
The series features Samantha as agent Honey, a struggling actress recruited into the global spy agency Citadel by Varun Dhawan’s stuntman-cum-spy Bunny. Honey’s sole agenda is to protect her daughter Nadia (Kashvi Majmundar) from a sinister web of deception, lies and traps.
A candid picture captures Varun and Samantha posing with a celebratory cake. The party was also attended by screenplay writer Sita R. Menon who co-wrote the six-episode show with Raj & DK.
Varun, Samatha, Raj and DK posed for a group picture with the cast and crew of the action-packed series, which also stars Kay Kay Menon, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar and Shivankit Parihar in key roles.
