Conizza — pizza in a cone — and gourmet doughnut will soon feature on Calcutta’s munch menu. After The Cream & Fudge Factory and Coffee World, food chain GFA (Global Franchise Architects Co Ltd) will open a Pizza Corner in Salt Lake’s Sector V by mid-June. “A combo store of ice cream and coffee is a magical formula. We hope that pizza and ice cream will have similar results,” says Gaurav Agarwala, master franchisee for the east.
Apart from the 65-seater combination of Pizza Corner and The Cream & Fudge Factory which will open at Salt Lake’s RDB Boulevard, a Donut Baker may open soon at an undisclosed location. The Donut Baker is known for its freshly-baked doughnuts, which are topped with everything from chocolate to cherries.
Pizza Corner’s speciality is the Conizza, “a choice of fillings blended in melting mozzarella cheese and wrapped in a pizza cone”. Spread across 3,000sqft at RDB Boulevard, the outlet will be double the size of its existing 1,500sqft The Cream & Fudge Factory-cum-Coffee World at Bally High. A second Pizza Corner is expected to open at Bally High in July.
