Yash Raj Films dropped the teaser for the Shah Rukh Khan-headlined upcoming film Pathaan on the occasion of the actor’s 57th birthday on Wednesday.
The one-minute-24-second-long teaser introduces us to Pathaan (Shah Rukh) after a voiceover speculates his death three years ago. In the action-packed teaser, a ripped Shah Rukh is seen beating up his enemies and planting bombs.
The teaser also introduces Deepika Padukone and John Abraham’s characters. John plays the antagonist in the film.
The short video is filled with bike chases, stunts and combat sequences. A glimpse of a dance number featuring Shah Rukh and Deepika was also included in the teaser. Shah Rukh’s physique is one of the highlights of the teaser.

Shah Rukh took to Twitter to share the teaser and wrote, “Apni kursi ki peti baandh lijiye…#PathaanTeaser OUT NOW! Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 25th January, 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”
The high-octane spy thriller is helmed by War director Siddharth Anand and is produced by Yash Raj Films’ chief Aditya Chopra. Shah Rukh will return to the big screen with Pathaan after a hiatus of more than five years. He was last seen in Anand L. Rai’s Zero opposite Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
In the first look motion poster of Pathaan, Shah Rukh was seen in a rugged look with long hair and a beard, holding a shotgun.
Apart from Pathaan, Shah Rukh will also star in Jawan, directed by Atlee and co-starring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, in 2023. He will also headline Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu in the same year.
Pathaan will hit theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 25, 2023.
