Nana Patekar teaches Fugdi — a folk dance of the Konkan region — to the cast of Housefull 5 in the music video of a new song, The Phoogdi Dance, dropped by the makers on Saturday.

The two-minute-seven-second-long video shows Nana Patekar guiding Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and others, as they follow his steps.

Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade also feature in the video.

The subsequent scenes capture Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt dancing inside a cell. The video ends with a series of comical mishaps.

Adil Shaikh has choreographed the music video for the song penned and sung by Kratex. The rap section is performed by Patya The Doc.

“Phoo Bai Phoo Phoogdi Phoo - Now it’s your turn to groove too,” wrote T-Series on Instagram alongside the video.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is set to bring back the franchise’s trademark mix of slapstick comedy and grand sets. The film is set to release on June 6.

The first Housefull movie, directed by Sajid Khan, was released in 2010. It features Akshay Kumar alongside Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta and Chunky Panday.

The sequel, also directed by Sajid Khan, came out in 2012, followed by Sajid-Farhad-helmed Housefull 3 in 2016, and Farhad Samji’s Housefull 4 in 2019.
