On colouring: “Whenever I have any free time, I love to colour. It helps clear the mind and concentrate. I love to indulge in different types of colours, and my imagination works wonders in my head and tells my hand what to do! 
The t2 contest: “After I finished colouring the pattern, my mother, Dhriti Banerjee, encouraged me to send it to t2. We often have art exhibitions in school. I prefer colouring with sketch pens as there is no risk of colours getting smudged, which might happen when one uses paint.” 

Winning moment: “Winning the t2 Holi Colour Contest came as a huge surprise. I never thought I would win as I knew many readers would send in their creations. I was reading a book at home when my mom came into the room and said there was a call from t2. It was a huge surprise.”

Favourite art: Girl With A Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and Medusa by Caravaggio. 

Her message: “Thanks t2, for the gifts. I have already started filling up the colouring book. I like Alia Bhatt’s acting, hence I chose the t2 mug signed by Alia. Highway is my favourite Alia Bhatt movie.”

Second: Soham Ghosh, second-year English, The Bhawanipur Education Society College 

“When I saw the colouring contest, I started on it on an impulse. I hadn’t done something like that in a long time. So I bought some colouring pencils and filled in the pattern with colours. And it’s quite different from painting. The fact that the act of colouring can work as therapy is interesting. I had to be a bit more patient to finish the whole artwork,” said the Kasba boy. 

“I didn’t do it to win any prize. In fact, it was my friends who told me that I had won the colour contest. The best part of winning was receiving a t2 mug autographed by my favourite actress, Deepika Padukone! I am a huge, huge fan of her. Not just her acting, it’s her overall persona that attracts me. Om Shanti Om and Cocktail are two of my favourite Deepika films,” he signed off. 

Third: Monisha Bhatia, entrepreneur

“I love colouring books as it helps me beat stress and keep calm. I often use The Secret Garden colouring book for adults and Staedtler colouring pens at home,” said the Ballygunge resident. “I love t2 and hence I filled up the pattern with lots of bright colours. t2 itself is so colourful, both in content and look. And yes, I was so pleased with my work that I actually expected to win!” she added.

Along with the colouring book and set of colours, Monisha also took home a t2 mug signed by her favourite Bolly hero, Akshay Kumar.
