After directing a string of ad films, Kamaleswar Mukherjee has taken the plunge into movie-making. His directorial debut Uro Chithi is a love triangle revolving around Indraneil Sengupta, Sreelekha Mitra and model-turned-actress Tanushree.

Others in the cast are Rudranil Ghosh, Resshmi Ghosh, Saswata Chatterjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Rajatava Datta and Biswanath.

“The story is about an IT professional Aniket (Indraneil), his schoolteacher wife Raka (Sreelekha) and an airhostess Lilette (Tanushree). Aniket is in a relationship with Lilette but the story isn’t only about an extramarital affair. It’s also about how recession affects a couple’s life. It is an urban story of a man and his anxieties,” said Kamaleswar, who has penned the script. He had also written the script for Amit Roy’s yet-to-release film Natobor Not Out, starring Raima Sen and Mustafa Prokash.

Kamaleswar has started shooting his film, being produced by Manu Malhotra and Ajay Batliwal. Debojyoti Mishra will compose four songs for Uro Chithi.
