Why did you agree to do a Bollywood film (Kambakkht Ishq) in the first place?
I agreed to be in the Bollywood movie because it was an honour to be asked. I love to try different things and this movie was unlike anything I’ve done.
How aware were you of the Indian movie industry? Have you seen any of the films?
I was very aware of the Bollywood industry. I have seen a few movies. I especially love the dancing!
What was the experience of shooting a Bollywood film on home turf?
The entire cast, except for Sly and myself (there’s also Brandon Routh and Holly Valance), and most of the crew were all from India. I really loved spending time with the actors and the crew. Everyone was so passionate about the film.
Most of your scenes are with Akshay Kumar. How was he to work with?
Akshay was such a pleasure to work with. He translated when I didn’t understand (Hindi)... he was so down to earth and incredibly kind to me and everyone on the set.
You have said that Akshay is a great kisser. How would you rate him compared to your Hollywood co-stars?

I definitely can see why Akshay is one of the biggest stars in India!
Denise Richards for us means you walking out of the pool in the blue bikini in Wild Things. Will we see more of that in Kambakkht Ishq?
There is definitely a moment in the film of me coming out of the pool in slow motion that is very similar to that moment in Wild Things!
Did you take to Indian food or clothes during the shooting?
I was very excited that the catering on the movie was Indian food... I loved it! It was so delicious... and I really love all the vibrant colours that the women wear.
There is a fad now of Indian actresses like Kareena Kapoor getting ultra thin to wear bikinis. Do you like to see our heroines ape you all?
Kareena Kapoor is gorgeous... I would prefer to see Indian heroines like her wearing the traditional saris. They are absolutely beautiful.
Are you happy that you will always be referred to as “a Bond girl”, after The World is Not Enough?
I’m flattered that I will be referred to as “a Bond girl”. I’m very lucky to be part of an iconic franchise. Every generation is a fan of Bond movies.
Do you have any plans of coming to India? Would you do another Bollywood movie if you are offered?
I hope to go to India very soon. I have never been there and I have always wanted to go. I would definitely love to do another Bollywood movie! I would love to do another movie with Akshay. Maybe a sequel?
