All that glitters isn’t gold. It might also be silver. Ravissant, the luxury silverware brand based in Delhi, has opened its sixth store in India, the last one being a franchise outlet in Alipore, after three stores in Mumbai and two in Delhi. t2 strolls through the 4,000sq ft luxe lair and picks its faves.

“Our Divinity collection sells really well, especially the Radha Krishnas,” said Shalinee Gurtu, representative from Ravissant, Delhi. t2 loved this image made of resin and wood, with silver embellishments @ Rs 1,04,000. “The best part about Ravissant is that we customise according to your needs, whether it’s colour, fabric or size,” she added.

Set up by the husband-wife duo of Ravi and Mina Chawla in 1981, Ravissant started with haute couture and included silverware in 1991 which quickly became their forte.
Ravissant also offers fashion, home decor, jewellery and furniture.
For silverware, Ravissant uses Swiss stamp silver sheets which are 92.5 per cent pure.
Ravissant launches a new collection every year, which is done by German silversmiths. The 2017 collection will be launched during Diwali.
They’re the first in India to work with the Japanese technique of mokume gane, which was how samurai swords were engraved. Three silver-friendly metals are sandwiched together and hand-engraved.
Their star clients include Nita Ambani, Lakshmi Mittal and Rakesh Roshan.
