Casting the angry young man image aside, Jeet is back to playing the boy next door and with a twist. In Shankha Banerjee’s laugh riot Hashi Khushi Club, Jeet is Aniket, an aspiring singer. The fun starts when a para club gets him to play the lead role in their theatre production.

“Aniket is a sweet boy, very simple and down to earth but he tries to act smart and messes up things. He goofs up while acting in the para play too. I liked the script and my role very much. Besides, I have never done anything like this before,” says Jeet, who was initially slated to romance Swastika in the film.

The role later went to Varsha Priyadarshini. “I am Varsha’s music teacher and we are in love. But here too, there’s a problem. I mess up our love life,” adds Jeet, in between shooting in a Ballygunge house.
