The plasmas at both the night haunts were on a match fix as the midnight crowd cheered on Germany and Uruguay for the third place. While some stayed glued to the game, others did a Waka Waka on the dance floor. “There’s been a tussle going on between those who want music and others who want to hear the commentary. As DJ Sammi took to the console, a celebration of Bangla music and Tollywood chartbusters got the dance floor pulsating at Fluid lounge bar, The BigBoss hotel, on Saturday night. Tolly hits like Bhojo Gourango, Jao pakhi bolo, Ferari mon, Pagla hawa and Ekta bindaas para were the favourites. Tolly actresses Rimjhim Mitra, Rupanjana and Ratri, actors Shaheb Bhattacharya, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Indrajit and Sudip Mukherjee and Cactus’s lead vocalist Sidhu took to the dance floor at the Rawdon Street hotel.

Move your body to the groovy beats of DJ Akash (picture below) with Club Nite at Soho starting Saturday, July 17 from 9pm till 2am. A mix of Bollywood, house, hip-hop and retro will be the night sounds. Brand new remix versions of songs like I hate luv storys, Ni nachle, Main tera amplifier and his original Power of Guitaria will keep the temperature soaring on the dance floor. “It’s a night for hit club music and that’s the idea behind Club Nite; nobody will want to stop dancing,” says DJ Akash whose forte is Bollywood music.

This Saturday will be the first of the monthly Club Nite at Soho, the rest will follow on every third Saturday of the months to come where DJs from across the country and beyond will be playing their brand of club music.
