Dia Mirza, whose mom is Bengali, is in town shooting for her first Bengali film Paanch Adhyay, directed by Pratim D. Gupta of t2. Last Saturday, Dia and her screen beau Priyanshu Chatterjee ambled into a bylane in north Calcutta for “a song sequence”. “Dia plays schoolteacher Ishita and Priyanshu plays Arindam, a filmmaker,” is all Pratim will reveal for now.
“We shot a song called Agantuk, composed by Shantanu Moitra and written by Anindya and Chandril. Shaan has done the playback,” said Pratim. Paanch Adhyay is being shot by DoP Ananda Chakravarti (Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara) and is produced by Kaustuv Ray.
