Meet The Lucky 10 Who Got Big Bazaar’s FBB Style Star Makeover, In Association With T2 Published 01.10.13, 12:00 AM

When: September 26

Where: Big Bazaar, Sealdah

The lucky five: Sahbaz Khan, Tanisha Datta, Madhurima Sarkar, Ujani Das Gupta and Dibakar Chakraborty got their Puja looks sorted with makeovers by Sneha Verma, Anis Armaan, Supriya Ram, Komal Kumari and Anuradha Khaitan — all final-year fashion design students from NIFT. And there was designer Abhishek Dutta with his kitty of useful fashion tips.

Abhishek’s top tips:

1. Get rid of the misconception that those with a dusky skin tone cannot wear bright colours. Lighter hues on a dusky skin tone will only make you look duller. Brighten it up with colours.

2. Keep your look clean.

3. What looks good on the ramp may not always work for you. Think practical when dressing.

4. Don’t wear too many colours. It’ll leave you looking like a rainbow!

5. Don’t be afraid to try different combinations. You might be pleasantly surprised by the end result. For instance, a hint of red in an otherwise basic white salwar worn with ink-blue churidar is an interesting way of breaking the monotony.

When: September 28

Where: Big Bazaar, Hiland Park

The lucky five: Afsana Farooque, Sunny Kesh, Samanwita Das Gupta, Srabani Das and Rahul Jain. Five final-year undergraduate fashion design students from iNIFD, Salt Lake — Ashmika Poddar, Swagata Bhattacharjee, Rohit Ojha, Satyajit Naskar and Anuradha Sharma — gave them brand new looks. Sonika Chauhan was there to guide with tips and tricks.

Sonika’s top tips:

1. Don’t try to be someone else. What looks good on someone else may not look good on you.

2. Removing make-up is essential. It’s a criminal offence to go to bed even with the slightest hint of make-up.

3. Those who are dusky should not try to look fair! Be confident.

4. Wearing correct footwear is very important. It can make or break your look.

5. Classy= Simple.
