Team Coke Studio Season 4’s selfie moment
The fourth season of Coke Studio@MTV is on air, but with a twist here and a turn there. The eight-week studio show will now switch to an “always on” mode with 12 producers springing 12 new compositions for the next 12 months. “There are two things that stood out during our three-year journey... our followers don’t want it to end and they’re also interested in what goes on behind the scenes. So we have decided to change the format,” said Debabrata Mukherjee, VP marketing and commercial, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia.
A change in format would mean a half-hour slot on the first Sunday of every month that would introduce the producer, the theme of the song, the backstory, studio sessions and a music video. “This season is meant to be more focused and will have a higher video component,” said Mukherjee from Delhi. On board this year are Bolly heavyweights Vishal-Shekhar, Amit Trivedi, Pritam, Clinton Cerejo, Sachin-Jigar, Ram Sampath, Sneha Khanwalkar, Papon, Badshah and Raftaar as producers. Singers include Rekha Bhardwaj, Jyoti Nooran and Harshdeep Kaur, among others.
