Love was in the air on February 15 at Club Verde Vista, thanks to 100 Years of Bollywood with Love, in association with t2, presented by Club Verde Vista. City-based band Harmony turned it on with classics like Babuji dheere chalna, Pyaar hua ikraar hua, Yeh mera dil, Tadap tadap and Tere mast mast do nain, as the videos of the songs played in the background. Even a sudden downpour could not dampen the spirits of the club members. Most braved the rain and continued grooving to the music while others chose to stay in the covered area. Finger food like Chicken Lollipop and Chilli Fish were pop picks of the Sunday night.

Club members Manju and Ashok Khemka posed for a fun picture with the cutouts of Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. “I have been coming to the events organised by the club for a long time and they are a lot of fun. I’m really enjoying myself,” said Manju.

Haya Humayan (left) came with friend Anqua. “My all-time favourite love song is Chura liya hai tumne and a recent one would be Jeena jeena from Badlapur,” said the first-year student of hotel management at IIHM.

“When we think of love, Bollywood comes to mind. There’s no better way to celebrate love than with songs from Bollywood, which is why we have organised this lovely evening,” said Diksha Pande, senior general manager, operations, Ambuja Neotia Group.

WHEEL MEAL: Quest mall revved it up on Republic Day as the HOG (Harley Ownership Group) boys displayed their bikes on the ground floor of the mall. After flag hoisting at 9.30am, the boys got on their bikes, parked near the fountains and then feasted at Q33. A hearty breakfast comprising “cereal, eggs, sausages and the works” was laid out for the men with their machines. “The  response of the crowd was crazy. The royal roar of these bikes attracted quite a crowd,” said a mall spokesperson.
