It was a break from stethoscopes and textbooks for the students of Calcutta Medical College (CMC) at their annual fest, Rhapsody 2014, held in association with The Telegraph-YOU, over five days in September. In keeping with the Puja feel, the days of the fest were named Sashthi, Saptami, Ashtami, Navami and Dashami. From fashion show and street theatre to nail art and hairstyling, Rhapsody 2014 saw more than 25 events, plus a host of guest performances that kept the campus rocking till late in the evening. “We worked very hard for three months to put up the fest and we are very happy that it was a success. Bollywood singer Mohammed Irfan Ali’s performance pulled the biggest crowd in the history of Rhapsody! Anupam Roy and his band also gave a hit show. Among the events, the battle of bands and inter-college fashion show were the most popular,” said Debraj Saha, the convener of the Rhapsody organising committee.
