Thomasites and Thomsinas from far and near flocked to their “first home” for two consecutive days, catching up with old friends and having a blast at the fifth International Reunion, presented by St.Thomas’ Old Pupils Alumni (STOPA) and partnered by The Telegraph. It was extra special as both
St. Thomas’ Girls’ School and St. Thomas’ Boys’ School were celebrating 225 years.

The school premises were beautifully decked out with lights. Round tables dotted the ground that were quickly captured by groups of ex-students.

The first evening began with the felicitation of teachers and staff members, followed by a rousing performance by Usha Uthup. The dance floor was packed with people of different ages— from kids to retired individuals. DJ Manna and DJ Mansur took over the console to keep the tempo going.

On Evening Two, the crowd wasted no time in getting on the dance floor as Bodhi Route performed Bollywood hits, followed by a groovy spin by DJ Harish and DJ Ravi. The night ended with a buffet dinner and promises to meet again soon. After all, school friends are friends for life!

“This is how I could repay my debt to this grand school and thank all my teachers for grooming and making me what I am today. May STOPA be able to reconnect annually and bring in active participation by all its members,” said Shaheryaar Ali Mirza, secretary of STOPA (inset).
