Team Phoring (from left) Ritwick Chakraborty, Akash and Sohini Sarkar at The Conclave on Tuesday evening. Picture: Pabitra Das |
Name: Akash Adhikari
Age: 14
School: Swami Vivekananda Seva Samiti Vidyalaya, Sodepur.
An actor is born: I’ve always wanted to be an actor. I got the offer to play Phoring in Phoring through an uncle. I never heard the story of the film but did whatever my director (Indranil Roy Chowdhury) asked me to do. I want to pursue acting as a career in future.
The most difficult scene in Phoring: There’s a scene where I am made to sit in a small boat. The boat was very small and we were three of us. At one point I thought we would all drown.... The other thing I hated was that I was made to walk on the roads of Calcutta a lot!
The masturbation scene and the one in which he is shown examining female undergarments: Look, I had no clue what those scenes were meant to be. I did it mechanically and those scenes were shot at night when I would be half-asleep! But now I’m scared of my parents! They live in the Andamans and I live in Sodepur with my Dida. I don’t know how my parents will react after watching the film!
On having a crush on a teacher like Phoring: Oh no! I only have male school teachers!
A recent Bengali film I liked: Goynar Baksho.
My favourite actor: Shah Rukh Khan.
