Police Filez, the popular crime show presented by Aakash Aath, is going to screen a special episode to mark the occasion of International Women’s Day. On March 8, Police Filez will showcase the murder case of Patashpur in East Medinipur. The episode titled Wife Decapitated will narrate the horrific murder of Fulrani Guchhait by her husband Gautam Guchhait. This incident not only shocked the villagers into silence but also imposed a different challenge for the police.

“Police Filez has completed 21 years of successful run on television. Our main motto is that we want every woman to be courageous and enlightened so that they do not easily surrender to any fatal circumstances,” said Priyanka Surana Bardia, director, Aakash Aath.

“My journey with Police Filez as the special host is about to complete two years now. Being a woman, I take pride in being a part of such a socially relevant TV program that brings forth real-life incidents, spreading awareness as well as inspiring women to rise above all odds and fight brutality in any form. Through the International Women’s Day special episode, we hope to inspire people to become responsible citizens and understand the value of immediate action. The law is always there to help us. But it is we who have to take the first step,” said Chandreyee Ghosh, special host, Police Filez.

The journey of Police Filez dates back to the year 2003. The audience got to witness a show where spine-chilling, real-life incidents were showcased. From hunting the remote and unsolved cases of inhumanity to portraying them on the small screen, Police Filez has been successful in making its place in the hearts of regular viewers. The main motto of the show is not only to reveal the truth before the audience but also to educate them about adverse circumstances.

“The Women’s Day special story is specially curated to bring into the limelight the struggle of every common girl to survive. We want to appeal to all the common men to be sensible so that they can contribute to a better cause, which can only assure a secure surrounding and a bright future for women, most importantly, children,” said Sudip Mukherjee, special host, Police Filez.
