YouTube Kids (https://kids.youtube.com) completes one year in India in November and to celebrate this milestone, the app has rolled out updates that put parents in control of the visual content their children consume, and are offering kids more learning content.

The app is seeing an evolution in content development. While earlier the focus of consumption was more on nursery rhymes, now there is an increasing number of takers for educational content in science and math, do-it-yourself videos and animation. Also, this educational content is not limited to English anymore, with content being developed in regional Indian languages too.
