The curtain-raiser for the fourth edition of Gout de France was held on the lawns of the French consulate recently. “The global celebration of French cuisine on March 21, an initiative of three Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse and the ministry of foreign affairs, will have eight star hotels and an NGO-run cafe bistro participating from Calcutta and serving a special menu,” said consul-general Damien Syed. The participants served “a teaser” of the event that evening for dinner.
