I avoid using soap on my face. I use a mild face wash instead. I also use an aloe vera face pack thrice a week. I make sure I drink lots of water and include lots of fruits in my diet. I have long hair that requires a lot of care. Twice a week, I mix coconut oil with egg and apply this on my hair. I keep it on for an hour and then shampoo. It gives my hair bounce. I try to keep my hair tied up as much as possible — it’s the least you can do to avoid the damage caused by pollution. |
I am 37. Though my skin is not oily, whenever I apply sunscreen I break out into pimples or develop some kind of irritation on my skin. I need to use a sunscreen in this weather but I’m mortified of doing so. Is there
anything else I can do to protect my skin from the sun?

Use an oil-free sunscreen and for this you need to do a bit of leg work — there are some really effective
sunscreens in the market. In fact, a gel-based sunscreen would also help.
I am 28. I recently got back from a trip to the hills. And ever since, the skin just above my elbow and on my thighs and just above my knees has become all rough and goose-bumpy. Could you please suggest of a way to smoothen it again?

Take 1 cup oatmeal and mix a handful of pounded almond. Add milk to make a thick paste. After massaging with almond oil, scrub the affected areas with this paste gently. This should be done on alternate days for at least a week before your skin becomes baby soft again.
