The frozen tree is here with cool, fruity pops

When you walk into this 150sq ft dessert den, it would feel like you are living a Pinterest dream. The walls are decorated with popsicle-related quotes, framed with wooden sticks, and ice creams are being sold out of a counter that looks like a thela. The Frozen Tree — a new popsicle brand with stores in Elgin Road and Sector V— is the latest addition to the frozen dessert outlets in the city.

Co-founded by Siddharth Agarwal and Gunjan Agarwal, The Frozen Tree specialises in handmade ice lollies with organic ingredients and serves two types of pops — fresh fruits and dairy-based.

“My inspiration for the store came while studying in the UK and seeing the range of popsicles available there. So we wanted to bring something new to Calcutta and hence we came up with natural fruit pops,” said Siddharth.

You can also order the ice creams through food delivery apps like Swiggy, Zomato and Foodpanda. They cater to large parties, too, where you can also opt for cocktail popsicles like Bloody Mary, Beer and Sangria Popsicle.

Colourful and pretty — you cannot not Instagram these popsicles that taste as good as they look, with a burst of colours that match the burst of flavours.
