Survival Strategies

I just came to know that my cousin is dating my ex-boyfriend. I feel betrayed and cheated, more so because my own cousin did this to me. I really want to teach them both a lesson. Please help me with a killer idea.

It’s all in the family so, why are you so upset darling? It is one life and to each their own. Cousins are human after all and they have every right to be despicable betrayers. So, why the bother? Just chill and find yourself a man who will look after you...and many won’t. Factor that reality in too. Apart from that, go and have a blast and forget all about this mini betrayal, it is just not worth your while.

I am very popular in school and even have a fan club. I am an active debater and have won many a dance competitions for my school. So, many of my juniors idolise me. Most of my teachers encourage me and seem happy with my achievements. But there is one teacher in particular who is peeved by my popularity. She fails me in her subject and insults me in her class. She says my popularity is only passing and I’ll end up doing nothing in life. I hate going to school now. What should I do?

Ignore the cow. She must be in a happy marriage or worse still must be the mother to a pair of dolts. Remember, dogs bark but the Caravan moves on (and I am not referring to the magazine): you will be whoever you are because of what you are. The world doesn’t matter. All you need to be is honest and integral and no power can stop you from achieving your dreams: not even Mamata Banerjee. So, what is there to worry? Just bash on regardless and in the process if you raise some hackles and step on some un-manicured toes, well…then so be it.
