Rice water for hair

Using the starchy liquid could do you wonders

Rice water is the starchy water left over after rice is cooked or left to soak.

It is very good for hair.

RICE WATER CONTAINS:

  • Helps hair grow long Soaking is the quickest way to make rice water.

Take ½ cup of uncooked rice. Rinse thoroughly. Soak rice in a bowl in 2–3 cups of water. Soak for an hour. Strain the rice water into a clean bowl.

Boiling.

Cover ½ cup of rice with double the water, the proportion used for cooking. Cook the rice and strain the rice water into a clean bowl before use.

USE:

  • Shampoo your hair. Rinse thoroughly with water from the tap. Pour rice water on to the hair. Massage the rice water into the hair and scalp. Leave on for up to 20 minutes.
  • Rinse hair thoroughly using warm water from the tap. Apply a conditioner after that and rinse hair thoroughly again.
