Daily moisturising is vital for a healthy skin. Our skin is the body’s largest organ and attention must be paid to make it stay blemish-free and healthy.

WHICH MOISTURISER TO USE

Regular use of a lotion and moisturiser should be a part of any good skin regimen. Choose a lotion with plenty of vitamins. Also use a lotion that is oil free, non comedogenic (won’t clog pores), tested for allergy and by dermatologists.

  • Vitamin A and vitamin B5 increase firmness and build moisture level.
  • Vitamin C and vitamin E help to protect new skin and fight skin damages.

WHEN TO MOISTURISE

The most important times to use a moisturiser are after a bath, shave or exfoliation. It should be done twice in a day.

MOISTURISING HELPS REPAIR

The skin on your face, ears, neck and chest are sensitive to environmental changes. These areas also shed cells more rapidly than other parts of the body and therefore need moisture to repair themselves. Also the massaging at the time of applying lotion helps blood circulation and new cell generation.

TIPS FOR SKIN CARE

  • Drink more water: Drink at least eight glasses of water every day.
  • Use a mild cleanser: A cleanser should be mild, fragrance free.
  • Wear sunscreen when outdoors: Nothing will save your skin more than protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
  • Apply lip balm: Applying it frequently helps to heal dry cracked lips.
  • Give extra attention to your hands: Hands show the effects of a dry environment more than any other part of the body. Apply hand cream after you wash your hands every time.
