Christian Louboutin's red soles are a true icon of our times. A bold, sexy, sophisticated symbol of Louboutin’s art for more than three decades, the red soles are now on display at an exquisitely and elaborately imagined exhibition L’Exibition(isme) at Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris, February 26 -- July 26, 2020. “The show is a celebration,” Louboutin was quoted as saying. “It’s not a retrospective about my work. It celebrates collaboration but not with other brands, rather it’s an exchange of ideas with all the people who have inspired me.”

On show are some historic and artistic pieces, many of which are from Louboutin's private collection. They are also his tribute to the craftsmen.

The inauguration was celebrated with a cocktail party on February 24, with legendary guests from the worlds of art, cinema and fashion: Dita Von Teese, Janelle Monae, Monica Bellucci, Charlotte Rampling, Karlie Kloss, Clothilde Courau, Juliette Binoche, Arielle Dombasle and Vincent Darré, Rossy de Palma, Blanca Li, Imran Qureshi, and Sabyasachi.
