Retinol and bakuchiol. Two substances that work equally well on skin. But how do you choose which is for your type of skin?

BAKUCHIOL: This is a plant-based ingredient that has become very popular in skincare products of late.

RETINOL: This is a synthetic compound of Vitamin A used in skincare products.

Both ingredients have the ability to stimulate collagen, decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, strengthen the base of the skin and minimise dark circles. But retinol is strong and unfriendly for those with sensitive skin. It can cause some types of skin to feel exceptionally dry and irritating by reducing the oil from the skin. Bakuchiol reacts more gently to all skin types. It helps to soothe the skin. It doesn’t decrease the oil from the skin. If you have sensitive skin, plant-based skincareis better and safer for you.
