Do you get a good night’s rest when you hit your pillow? Or do you suffer from sleep apnoea — a sleep disorder which is characterised by pauses in breathing and loud snoring? You can now find out with the Apnoea Rest Analysis Mask (ARAM).
A team at the REDx WeSchool innovation lab in Mumbai has come up with this wearable device for at-home screening and monitoring of sleep apnoea. ARAM monitors five parameters of sleep that aid in identification of sleep apnoea. Currently, sleep apnoea can only be diagnosed by a test that requires an overnight hospital stay.
