Hydrating and cooling, shikanji is a huge hit with Calcuttans to get through the hot, humid months. Paranthe Wali Galli has reworked this classic desi beverage with ingredients like gondhoraj and jaggery. Other variants of the humble drink include Litchi Ki Shikanji, Imli Ki Shikanji, Nimbu Masala Shikanji, Nimbu Ke Achar Ki Shikanji, Anaras Ki Shikanji and Santare Ki Shikanji.
Gondhoraj lends a sweet fragrance while the green and red chillies add a fiery kick.
