Mood & music: Hoots and cheers filled the air with many screaming “I love you”, as Bollywood rapper Badshah stormed the stage with his songs and swag at Seagram’s Royal Stag Barrel Select Mega Music CDs presents
The Telegraph & Calcutta Swimming Club Xmas Eve partnered by Greenply, in association with Manyavar. The evening started with dance performances by Fireballs dance crew, a laser show and commercial and Bolly hits spun by DJ Harish. Singer Aastha Gill of DJ waley babu fame and her band came on stage next, before Badshah let it rip with songs such as Baby ko bass pasand hai, Abhi toh party shuru hui hai and Saturday Saturday, making sure everyone at the party got up and went Let’s nacho!
She was wearing: Short and figure-hugging dresses in black or shimmer (both gold and silver). Boots provided cover as well as couture to the feet, although many opted for heels too.
He was wearing: Jackets and blazers, paired with jeans or formal trousers.
Club speak: “Paisa vasool will be an understatement! Jaws dropped... the event rocked and it was one of the best evenings ever! Badshah performed like a ‘badshah’ and DJ Harish and Aastha Gill kept the crowd entertained throughout. Not to forget the laser show, which mesmerised everyone,” said Dipak Agarwal, chairman, entertainment committee, The Calcutta Swimming Club.
