I am in the television industry where you work seven days a week and usually get breaks only if a shoot gets cancelled or if the schedule changes. But breaks for us could also mean that one is out of work. So in a way I never look forward to such breaks.

My work takes me to different countries and sometimes I get a day off and can relax. Except Australia, I have been to most of the countries around the world. In fact, just some time ago I did a couple of shows in Mauritius. While travelling and working most of the time during my stay, I also managed to throw in a bit of vacationing there.

My breaks in Mumbai also depend on the kind of shift I am doing. During night shifts work usually begins from 7pm in the evening and goes on till 6am in the morning, which means you have the day to yourself. But then half of it goes in catching up on sleep.

But when I’m free I like to meet my friends, eat out and watch the latest movies. Since Chinese food is my all time favourite, I like going to Barbeque Nation in Pali Hill. Another favourite of mine is the Grand Hyatt which serves amazing Chinese fare.

But honestly, I feel the best part about a weekend break or any other break for that matter is returning home and catching up on my sleep.
