Oh My God! Weekend breaks? Let me tell you there are no weekend breaks in the life of a daily soap’s heroine. But the day I do get a holiday from work, I rush off to a beauty parlour. I get my hair done and have a foot massage. So one- fourth of my day is spent at the parlour, getting myself pampered. Another important ritual is to take my mom out on a date. We usually watch a movie and have dinner together, but avoid shopping because I find it quite tedious. Most of my friends are Delhi-based and I have a few friends in Mumbai, so the day I’m free you’ll find me busy chatting with them on the phone.

Since I am a hard-core vegetarian, I love to gorge on the Gujarati food served in a restaurant called Saffron Spice. Hotel Samrat and Orbit Mall are a few of the other places I like to visit on my day off. But I must say — Delhi is Delhi, and I really miss the food joints there. When it comes to North Indian food and curries, Delhi takes the cake!

Something I avoid on my only day off, is travelling to far-off places. I prefer going to places closer to home because if you are stuck in a jam in Mumbai, that means half of your day is wasted in the maddening traffic. So I always look forward to make the most of the only break I get in a week. Basically I love to relax and let my hair down, which think I deserve after working hard for six days of the week.
