For somebody working in the creative field, everyday could be a Sunday. On the other hand, even a Sunday could be a working day. Since I am not bound to go and sit in an office five or six days a week, you could say everyday is a weekend and every weekend a working day. I could be sitting at a bar on a Sunday afternoon, sipping a drink, for instance, and get struck by an idea that I could use in my work.
But of course, the weekends automatically make us all feel relaxed and it?s the same with me. I start the day a little later than usual. The rest of Saturday and Sunday is spent catching up with my swimming, my golf, my tennis. I also go out a lot ? with friends or with my wife and daughter. We try out the new restaurants and pubs in town ? there are so many opening in Bangalore, where I live, almost every day. Alternatively, I may also spend time at home with my family, just relaxing by the poolside.
I?m not very fond of going out for movies, and don?t necessarily head for the multiplexes as soon as the latest hit is on. I listen to a lot of music ? which I?m doing all the time, anyway ? only instead of in a car in heavy traffic, I get to do it at home and by the poolside, my favourite place under the sun.
