Driving is a great source of relaxation for me. My office starts at 9am sharp, and the day often stretches past the midnight.
So, to free my mind of the daily hassles, I make it a point to slip out of my office and take a drive around Rajarhat at least two or three times every week.
The roads at Rajarhat used to be silky smooth and driving through them was a pleasure. But, recently, the road condition at the township has deteriorated considerably.
Still, cruising down Rajarhat, late at night when life seems to stand still, is really the most enjoyable experience one can have. And while driving, I prefer to tune into FM stations playing golden oldies — anything from Kishore Kumar to Lata Mangeshkar to Shyamal Mitra. That’s what keeps me fresh to start again at nine in the next morning!
