What to expect: Tollygunge Club is celebrating the second edition of the vibrant annual club carnival, Tolly Fest 2023, which was launched in March 2022. This time, the fest is taking place over nine days.
The second edition will have members participating in golf, equestrian events, tennis, squash, swimming, table tennis, gym fitness challenge, snooker, bridge, Scrabble, darts, quiz and poker.
New categories like chess and cricket have been added, taking the number of disciplines to 17, therefore giving more members and their families a chance to participate. Along with the competitive events, a rich variety of cultural performances, children’s activities, entertainment and pop-ups will feature throughout the fest period.
There’ll be music and dance too. A live performance by Indian Ocean, the premiere fusion band, on January 29 is a highlight and the grand finale will be held on February 5.
Club speak: “The club has been abuzz with the Tolly Fest all of the last month and should see great performances and footfalls now that the fest is underway. In a sense, the Tolly Fest epitomises the distinctiveness of Tolly as primarily a sports club and the zest of our members to participate and compete for irrespective of proficiency levels,” said Sanjiv Dhir, president, Tollygunge Club.
