The Pujas are here and most of us simply aren’t able to spend hours in front of the mirror during the busy festive season. That is why, I believe it is very important to master the basics in hair care and understand the products you are using. This way you’ll always be able to put together an effortless look because you know exactly the result you are trying to achieve. Every woman is different, but by analysing what works for you, you’ll not only save both time and money but also be able to show off those captivating and stylish tresses this Puja!

Here are some hair care tips you could follow

If your hair is looking dull then change your shampoo at once. It refreshes your hair every time you swap, simply because it cleans differently, removing a different level of product build-up. Use a detox/deep cleansing shampoo every three to four weeks to remove all build-up in your hair.

Conditioning your hair every time you shampoo not only smoothens and seals the outer cuticles, but also provides daily protection from environmental damages as you step out daily this festive season. Remember, all hair types need a conditioner. Just apply to the mid lengths and tips and keep away from the scalp especially if your hair is oily or fine.

To replace some of the moisture lost through blow-drying, use intense conditioning treatment on your hair. It will leave your hair unbelievably soft and much more manageable. Try doing this at least once a month.

Avoid brushes that have spiky and rough bristles. These kind of brushes catch hair and snag them. Stick to a vent brush instead with widely spaced prongs. And never brush your hair while it is wet.

Do not leave the shampoo in the hair for too long. It only takes a few seconds for the washing agents to work.

Heat styling puts extra stress on the hair. So, use a heat-protecting spray before blow-drying and straightening as you get ready to step out. A protein-based spray will strengthen and protect your hair without weighing it down. It is also ideal for fine hair.
