Carnival of cool games for li'l ones & grown-ups at Hindusthan Club

The slight chill in the air and the friendly ambience meant double the enjoyment for members and their guests at the Hindusthan Club presents Xmas Carnival & Fun Fiesta in association with The Telegraph on December 24 and 25. Games like Rabbit Race, Can the Can, Red and Blue, Beat the Dealer, Name Boggle, Fishing, Krazy Spinners and Bowling kept the children as well as the adults busy.

The kids loved playing with colourful balls, jumping on the bouncy castle and receiving candy from Santa Claus.

“My little brother was born on December 27 last year, so this is my first Christmas with him and I am very excited,” said Aanya Ajmera, a Class V student of La Martiniere for Girls.

Games like Rabbit Race, Can the Can, Red and Blue, Beat the Dealer, Name Boggle, Fishing, Krazy Spinners and Bowling kept the children as well as the adults busy.

Sip & bite: There was something for everyone, from spicy veg seekh kebabs and pakoras to yummy cupcakes. The winner? Fancy waffles topped with pineapples, cherries and grapes, served with hot chocolate sauce and jam.

Club speak: “The best part of this event is that your spirit is lifted and you feel relaxed. The message of Christmas is peace. On this day, the children in your house and your family members become very important,” said Shiv Kumar Lohia, president, Hindusthan Club.

Krazy Spinners was one of the popular games, where you had to spin a fidget spinner so that it pointed towards where you had placed your bet. “I love fidget spinners. Winning this game depends on luck and I enjoyed it a lot,” grinned Nandini Jhunjhunwala (right), a Class V student of Modern High School for Girls, who won the round.
Not just the young ’uns, even the grown-ups had a blast at the games. Nishita Popat and husband Chirag were totally focused on Golmal, a two-person game involving numbers. “Christmas is a time for fun. The club decoration is very pretty,” said Nishita.

“The best part of Christmas is the gifts. I am spending quality time with my family,” said Aryaman Sarda, a Class VIII student of Pathways School, Gurgaon, in between taking aim at one of the many games stalls.
