What: Rock ’n’ Bowls festival
Where: Hard Rock Cafe, Park Street
On till: March 15, noon to midnight
Hard Rock Cafe on Park Street is one of Calcutta’s hottest new venues, having opened its doors to the public in December. The restaurant is offering diners a selection of international dishes for its new Rock ’n’ Bowls menu, which is on till March 15.
These dishes, which are being offered in addition to the existing menu, serve up flavours from Italy, Mexico, Korea and the USA. Head chef Amit Saha is on hand to cook highlights such as Aglio Olio e Peroncino — crispy spinach and Parmesan cheese croquettes, and Bibimbap, which are tender meatballs with a Sriracha honey glaze, on a bed of brown rice, pepper, carrot and spicy kimchi.
If you come down on a Thursday night, you can enjoy some live music after finishing your food, as HRC’s spacious stage and dance floor hosts performances by Calcutta’s popular rock bands. Make sure to check in with Debjani behind the bar for some of Hard Rock’s signature cocktails, including the Pineapple Honey Smash and Sparkling Berry Sangria.
Hard Rock’s selection of music memorabilia is on show for all customers, with instruments and other pieces from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Prince. Lovers of good food and good music will find plenty to enjoy.
