New Delhi, March 26: The ITC Welcom Heritage Group today signed up Kasmanda Palace in Mussoorie, the ‘queen of hill stations’, as its 26th heritage hotel property.

The Welcom Heritage Group has earned about Rs 30 crore in revenues from its other 25 heritage properties in the last fiscal.

Rakesh Mathur, president of Welcom Heritage, said, “We plan to increase the tally of the hotels in our chain to 30 by June 2003 and 50 by end-June 2004.”

“We are in talks to acquire various other royal properties in east and south India,” he added.

Welcom Heritage chairman Maharaja Gaj Singh II said: “We encourage the owners of royal palaces to participate in the marketing and management of their properties. We make sure that with our brand name and service the palace is well appreciated and attracts tourists.”
