R-Com suffers loss

NEW DELHI: Debt-laden telecom operator Reliance Communications has posted a consolidated loss of Rs 2,709 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2017. The company had registered a profit of Rs 62 crore in the same period a year ago. This is the fourth straight quarter of loss for the company. PTI

ONGC buy

• MUMBAI: ONGC hopes to complete the acquisition of oil marketer Hindustan Petroleum Corporation by March, chairman and managing director Shashi Shanker said on Saturday. PTI

Broker plea

• MUMBAI: The Association of National Exchanges Members of India has urged the finance ministry to reduce STT and abolish dividend tax for growth of the capital markets. PTI

Forex kitty

• NEW DELHI: The country's foreign exchange reserves declined $22 million to $398.74 billion in the week ended November 3, mainly because of a a fall in foreign currency assets. In the previous week, the reserves had fallen $1.16 billion. PTI
