Lazard India gets new head

New Delhi, Aug. 28: Ashish Guha has been appointed as chief executive of Lazard India.

Guha is one of the five partners of Lazard India. He will now co-ordinate Lazard India’s activities and will report to chairman Udayan Bose who has relocated to London.

Lazard India is a 50:50 joint venture between Lazard Worldwide and Udayan Bose. It is active in corporate finance (mergers and acquisitions), privatisation and restructuring.

The company is working with the disinvestment ministry for the privatisation of ITDC and the Shipping Corporation of India. It is also the advisor in MRPL’s financial restructuring exercise.
