Cairn India Ltd has reported an increase in cash flow from operations at Rs 492 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2010 against Rs 107 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. The company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 281 crore against Rs 45.4 crore a year ago.
Texmaco has clocked a 39 per cent rise in net profit in the first quarter of 2010-11 at Rs 28.89 crore compared with Rs 20.85 crore in the same period last year. Gross sales stood at Rs 249.04 crore during the quarter against Rs 239.86 crore in the year-ago period.
Century Plyboards has registered a 19 per cent increase in consolidated turnover at Rs 358.39 crore in the first quarter ended June 2010 against Rs 300.37 crore in the year-ago period. Consolidated net profit, after minority interest, stood at Rs 41.26 crore.
Elder Pharma has posted a 64 per cent rise in net profit for the June quarter at Rs 18.87 crore against Rs 11.48 crore in the same period last year. Standalone income from operations rose to Rs 191.09 crore from Rs 162.90 crore in the same period last year.
Idea Cellular has posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 201.4 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal compared with Rs 297.1 crore in the same period a year ago. Consolidated revenue stood at Rs 3,653.7 crore against Rs 2,975.9 crore in the year-ago period.
Motherson Sumi Systems will invest up to Rs 500 crore to set up four new facilities this fiscal. The company has reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 59.55 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against Rs 11.05 crore last year.
SBI Mutual Fund has declared a dividend of 35 per cent for its Umbrella-Contra Fund under the dividend option plan. The record date has been fixed at August 13.
